Dan Gauthier
President
Dan Gauthier is the owner and President of Vogt Tax & Accounting. He leads the firm with one standard in mind: clients should never have to chase their accountant. He sets the firm’s direction and works alongside the team so that individuals and business owners get clear answers, attention all year, and advice that connects their taxes to the rest of their financial picture.
Dan is also an attorney. He founded Exo Law, a boutique practice focused on commercial real estate and business law, where he serves as counsel to a small number of companies and investors. That work covers acquisitions, financing, joint ventures, and entity structuring, and he has written and spoken on Opportunity Zone investing and related tax strategy. It shapes how he thinks about tax and accounting: as part of the larger decisions owners make when they buy, build, and sell.
Dan serves as a Commissioner on the City of Chandler Planning & Zoning Commission and holds leadership roles with the Urban Land Institute. He earned his J.D. from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University, where he was a Pedrick Scholar, and his B.A. in Psychology from the University of Arizona.
Dan lives in the East Valley with his wife, their two children, and their dogs. Away from work, he cooks, plays acoustic guitar, follows craft beer, and plays board games.
